Cancellation & No Show Policy

We design Closer experiences to be intentionally small, welcoming, and easy to connect. That also means every reserved spot matters.

We understand that plans can change. Here's how cancellations work, so everyone knows what to expect.

Cancelling Your Spot

You can cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the experience begins with no penalty. When you do, your spot opens up to someone else who's excited to join.

Late Cancellations & No-Shows

If you cancel within 48 hours of the experience, your ticket is non-refundable. You're welcome to transfer your spot to another date instead — just reach out and we'll help.

If you don't attend without cancelling, a $20 no-show fee will be charged to the account used for booking.

This fee helps us:

  • Respect the time and preparation that go into each experience
  • Support our hosts, facilitators, and partners
  • Keep things fair for fellow members who may have wanted that spot

A Few Things to Know

  • The 48-hour window is counted from the experience start time.
  • Fees apply regardless of whether the spot is filled afterward.
  • The no-show fee will be charged to the booking account.
  • All cancellation details and deadlines are visible during booking and in your confirmation email.

We're not here to be punitive. This policy simply helps us keep Closer experiences thoughtful, reliable, and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Membership & Trust & Safety Fee

Your Closer Membership is separate from individual event tickets. Membership runs on an annual Trust & Safety verification fee, which automatically renews every 12 months unless you cancel at least 48 hours before your renewal date.

The annual Trust & Safety verification fee is non-refundable once the identity verification process has been initiated, and we don't issue pro-rata refunds for the unused portion of a membership year. If you cancel, you keep access through the end of your current paid year. You can cancel anytime from the app (Profile > Account), on the website, or by emailing hello@becloser.co.
